FROM ADVOCACY TO INNOVATION: BRIDGING THE GAP IN TAOS, NM
The journey of Truly Terrain began in 2003 with a mission to elevate the standards of professional wellness hygiene. When Rebecca Harder opened her first wellness center, Healing Waters in Battle Ground, WA, she didn't just enter the wellness industry—she helped define its professional boundaries.
A LEGACY OF ADVOCACY AND PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS
In the early 2000s, the landscape of Colon Hydrotherapy faced significant legislative scrutiny in Washington State. Facing a "cease and desist" climate, Rebecca stepped into a leadership role, spending two years working alongside legislators to advocate for public access to wellness services. This pivotal experience "lit a fire" in her to ensure that natural modalities were never seen as "fringe," but as essential, science-backed components of a vibrant life. Rather than working against the medical establishment, Rebecca chose to bridge the two worlds. Rebecca chose to integrate technical excellence with professional standards. She recognized that the future of wellness lies in the synergy between data-driven hygiene and natural vitality.

In 2026, the "taboo" of the past has been replaced by technical respect and professional recognition. Today, the focus is on the essential role of optimal intestinal hygiene within a wellness-focused lifestyle. PROFESSIONAL TRAINING AND WELLNESS EXPERTISE
Rebecca’s foundation is built on elite training. She was mentored by Dr. Russell Kolbo, ND, who was associate professor at Bastyr University teaching intestinal cleansing to the naturopathic students using all the colonic devises and President of I-ACT. Under his guidance, she achieved advanced level certifications with I-ACT. Her expertise expanded further as she excelled in Advanced Colonic sessions and later became IHA Certified in Hyperbaric Oxygen under the world-renowned Dr. Zayd Ratansi. This rigorous training ensures that every service at Truly Terrain, from Hyperbaric Oxygen to Pristine Pure Water Colonics and Thermal Sauna Sessions, is delivered with precision.

Over two decades, Rebecca has successfully established and transitioned several high-end wellness centers:
2003: Healing Waters (Battle Ground, WA)
2008: Colon Care Colonics (Portland, OR) – A hub for physician-referred vetted care.
2018: Taos Hyperbaric and Wellness Center (Taos, NM)
Today: Truly Terrain, her most refined vision yet.
In 2022, Rebecca was delighted to transition her Oregon legacy to the next generation, helping a protégé Marian Lemire open PNW Wellness in Lake Oswego—a testament to her commitment to the continued growth of this profession.
A FAMILY-OPERATED MISSION
While Rebecca oversees client care, the physical environment of Truly Terrain is the work of her husband, Chris Harder. Chris has been the backbone of every wellness center build-out for 23 years, ensuring that the advanced plumbing, electrical, and ventilation systems required for our Ambient Air Wellness and Ozone-Purified Intestinal Hygiene sessions exceed the highest safety standards. His craftsmanship and attention to detail provide the beautiful, serene atmosphere that clients recognize the moment they walk through our doors. You may also be greeted by Amos, our 3-year-old Bernadoodle, who carries on the "ambassador" legacy of our beloved poodle, Cello.
OUR "SECRET SAUCE": FAITH AND PURPOSE
Beyond the beyond the professional excellence and deep study into hygiene and wellness, there is a spiritual foundation to everything we do. Rebecca and Chris believe that while they provide the modalities, the "Great Physician" is Jesus Christ. He is the true healer. Starting every morning in prayer to the Creator, they pray for guidance and healing for every individual who enters the clinic. This faith is what provided the strength to weather the 2003 legislative battles, the 2009 economic shift, and the 2020 global events. At Truly Terrain, you aren't just a client; you are a person we have prayed for, and we are honored to be a part of your healing journey.

THE STORY OF THE INFRARED SAUNA ROOM
A Tribute to Friendship and New Beginnings
For over a decade, this space was home to Raynera’s Sustainable Beauty, where Raynera Mrotek—a dear friend and talented stylist—offered beauty and care to the Taos community. When she decided to move to Texas, I helped her pack her last few belongings, never realizing our goodbye hug would be our last.
Just three weeks after her move, I received a message from her son, Andrez, as he held her hand in her final moments. She wanted me to know how much our friendship meant to her. Raynera’s memory of her caring remains a foundational part of this room; I think of her every time I walk through the door.
The Transformation: From Salon to Wellness Suite
I had waited years for the right suite in this plaza to become available—a space dedicated specifically to meet our clients most specialized sauna services. On November 1st, we assumed the lease and began a focused, six-week transformation.
