THE 23 YEAR EVOLUTION
OF TRULY TERRAIN CLINIC

FROM ADVOCACY TO INNOVATION: BRIDGING THE GAP IN TAOS, NM
The journey of Truly Terrain Clinic began in 2003 with a mission to elevate the standards of natural health. When Rebecca Harder opened her first clinic, Healing Waters in Battle Ground, WA, she didn't just enter the wellness industry—she helped define its professional boundaries.

A LEGACY OF ADVOCACY AND PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS
In the early 2000s, the landscape of Colon Hydrotherapy faced significant legislative scrutiny in Washington State. Facing a "cease and desist" climate, Rebecca stepped into a leadership role, spending two years working alongside legislators to advocate for public access to wellness services. This pivotal experience "lit a fire" in her to ensure that natural modalities were never seen as "fringe," but as essential, science-backed components of a healthy life. Rather than working against the medical establishment, Rebecca chose to bridge the two worlds. She recognized that the future of health lies in the synergy between clinical evidence and natural restoration.

THE BRIDGE TODAY:

In 2026, the "taboo" of the past has been replaced by clinical respect. Today, medical providers frequently recommend Colonics and Ozone Therapy for bowel health and prep, recognizing the value of a professionally managed, high-standard environment.

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING AND CLINICAL EXPERTISE
Rebecca’s foundation is built on elite training. She was mentored by Dr. Russell Kolbo, ND, who was associate professor at Bastyr University teaching intestinal cleansing to the naturopathic students using all the colonic devises and President of I-ACT. Under his guidance, she achieved advanced and instructor-level certifications. Her expertise expanded further as she specialized in Ozone-infused Colonic sessions—using a proprietary technique—and later became an IHA Certified Hyperbaric Therapist under the world-renowned Dr. Zayd Ratansi. This rigorous training ensures that every service at Truly Terrain, from Hyperbaric Oxygen to Live Blood Cell Analysis, is delivered with clinical precision.

A HISTORY OF GROWTH AND RESILIENCE
Over two decades, Rebecca has successfully established and transitioned several high-end clinics:

2003: Healing Waters (Battle Ground, WA)

2008: Colon Care Colonics (Portland, OR) – A hub for physician-referred care.

2018: Taos Hyperbaric and Wellness Center (Taos, NM)

Today: Truly Terrain Clinic, her most refined vision yet.

In 2022, Rebecca was delighted to transition her Oregon legacy to the next generation, helping a protégé Marian Lemire open PNW Wellness in Lake Oswego—a testament to her commitment to the continued growth of this profession.

A FAMILY-OPERATED MISSION
While Rebecca oversees clinical care, the physical environment of Truly Terrain is the work of her husband, Chris Harder. Chris has been the backbone of every clinic build-out for 23 years, ensuring that the complex electrical, plumbing, and exhaust specifications required for Hyperbaric Oxygen,  Ozone and Colonic therapies exceed safety standards. His craftsmanship and attention to detail provide the beautiful, serene atmosphere that clients recognize the moment they walk through our doors. You may also be greeted by Amos, our 3-year-old Bernadoodle, who carries on the "ambassador" legacy of our beloved poodle, Cello.

OUR "SECRET SAUCE": FAITH AND PURPOSE

Beyond the technology and the science, there is a spiritual foundation to everything we do. Rebecca and Chris believe that while they provide the modalities, the "Great Physician" is Jesus Christ. He is the true healer. Starting every morning in prayer to Jehovah God and His son, they pray for guidance and healing for every individual who enters the clinic. This faith is what provided the strength to weather the 2003 legislative battles, the 2009 economic shift, and the 2020 global events. At Truly Terrain, you aren't just a client; you are a person we have prayed for, and we are honored to be a part of your healing journey.

23 Years of Partnerships

Looking back on our journey, these memories bridge the gap between our high-volume clinical work at Colon Care (Portland, OR) and our evolution here in Taos, NM. Featured here are some of the world-renowned physicians I’ve had the honor of collaborating with, alongside the clients who have been the heart of our practice for over two decades.

 Infrared Sauna Room
at Truly Terrain Clinic

Transformation from Hair Salon into a Relax Sauna Room

From Raynera's Sustainable Beauty Hair Salon to Truly Terrain Clinic.

Raynera Mrotek did my hair every four weeks for almost 5 years in this room, in the same building my clinic was located just two doors down. We were good friends. I had no idea that when I helped her pack the last of the salon things she was taking to her new life in Texas and hugged her goodbye, that it would be the last I saw of her. We had a few more texts and then 3 weeks later I heard from her dear son Andrez. He was holding her hand in the hospital and wrote me that she was dying and wanted  me to know how much I meant to her. She meant much to me.

It was an interesting story how I got this room from her before she left, and best I save for another day to share. I had been waiting for a suite in the plaza to open up here for years so I could do my chemical and heavy metal sauna detox protocol in. November 1 we assumed the lease and you can see the state the room was in the day we got it. Then just about 6 weeks later you see after new flooring, paint, and some minor repairs that the new Far Infrared Sauna Room was born!

This is where we plan to help many people detox chemicals and heavy metals as well as provide infrared sauna sessions to relax the stress and cares of life away, and melt those overworked muscles and rejuvenate tired minds and bodies. I think of  Raynera often when I walk in this room. I will miss her. May she RIP. And... lastly, I must give a plug here to my incredible husband Chris who did all the work himself. I can never thank him enough! If you see him, thank him for making this room and this clinic possible.
