GENERAL FAQ
What makes Truly Terrain different from other wellness centers and from medical clinics?
Truly Terrain combines into one alternative health center the main wellness resources you need using a terrain approach including ozone purified colonics, hyperbaric oxygen, infrared sauna, wellness consultations and genuine from the heart care. Our wellness oasis gives you incredibly high levels of individualized attention and expert insight into how to overcome lifestyle challenges naturally. Because we spend 90 minutes during each session devoted to your wellness, you get more attention, more expert insight and more education than other places that operate like a "jiffy lube" or the typical medical clinic focused on giving you a diagnosis, treatment and standard medical care. It is my life's work and I consider it an honor to help each person God brings my way.
What does "terrain-based" mean and why is it important?
Truly Terrain approaches wellness from a terrain based approach instead of the artificial allopathic germ theory and symptom chasing approach. I like what Florence Nightengale said about it... "The specific disease doctrine is the grand refuge of weak, uncultured, unstable minds, such as now rule in the medical profession. There are no specific diseases; there are specific disease conditions" Truly Terrain of Taos NM seeks to offer true education and wellness services that bring the body into homeostasis naturally.

What happens during a Colon Hydrotherapy session, aka.... Colonic?
Every experience at Truly Terrain is tailored to your unique wellness goals. Most clients leave our Ozone-Purified Intestinal Hygiene (Colonic) and Infrared Sauna sessions feeling significantly refreshed, lighter, and revitalized. While a single session can be quite restorative, we often suggest a "2-Day Protocol" (two consecutive hygiene sessions) or adding an Infrared Sauna session immediately following your colonic for an optimal experience. For those seeking a deeper commitment to their vitality, we offer a 3-Day Intensive Hygiene Package, which provides a streamlined and affordable way to prioritize your internal environment.
What about the Hyperbaric Wellness sessions?
Our Ambient Air Wellness (Hyperbaric) sessions are designed for total relaxation. Clients love this experience because it encourages the body to enter a "rest and restore" state, providing a much-needed escape from a high-stress world. The pressurized environment is deeply nurturing and serene. Clients often enter the chamber seeking a break from daily stressors and emerge feeling a renewed sense of comfort and mobility. Whether you choose a single session or a series of 3 to 10 sessions, this is an excellent way to support your overall wellness and vitality.
What happens during a Professional Wellness Terrain Mapping Consultation?
During your initial 90-minute Educational Consult which is more like a health literacy seminar, we take a deep dive into your history. I ask detailed questions and, most importantly, I listen. I believe you know your body better than anyone else, so I use this time to learn about your experiences and apply my 23 years of technical wellness expertise to support your goals.
This session is highly informative and strictly educational. Please note: As stated throughout this website, I am a Certified Wellness and Hygiene Specialist, not a medical doctor and not a guru. I do not diagnose, treat, or prescribe. And I do not offer "woo". All information presented is for educational purposes only to help you facilitate your own wellness journey.
COLONIC FAQ
Pristine Pure Water Cleansing!
What is a colonic?
A colonic, also known as colon hydrotherapy, is a gentle cleansing of the large intestine using warm, filtered water. The process helps remove accumulated waste and supports the body’s natural detox pathways. At Truly Terrain in Taos, New Mexico, colonics are offered in a calm, supportive environment as part of a terrain‑based approach to wellness.
What is an ozone enhanced colonic and how is it different from a regular colonic?
We follow the "I-ACT 'Water Only' Standard of Excellence," where ozone is used for hygiene, not as a medical additive.
An ozone enhanced colonic combines traditional colon hydrotherapy with water that has been sanitized via ozone for pristine pure water cleansing. Ozone is a highly oxygenated form of oxygen that is commonly used to support purification of the water supply such as is used through out the world in municipal water treatment for safety. Truly Terrain does not provide medical ozone therapy, insufflations, or diagnosis.
Truly Terrain stays current on the best hygienic practices including water.... Just look at what some technologically advanced water municipalities are saying about purifying the water with ozone and you will see why I have always purified the water I use in colonics with ozone.
"Forward-thinking" municipalities are actively marketing ozone to their citizens as a sign of safety and superior technology.

-
Dallas, Texas: Currently maintains massive ozone systems at three major plants (Bachman, Elm Fork, and East Side). They don't just use it; they just signed a 36-month agreement (April 2026) to ensure these systems—which they call "critical for disinfection and public health"—remain at peak performance.

-
Orlando, Florida (OUC): They explicitly market "Ozone Treatment for Superior Taste" to their residents. Their public campaign "brags" that ozone is the reason their water is award-winning and free of heavy chlorine smells.

-
San Luis Obispo, California: Just launched a major Ozone Containment Improvement Project (March 2026) to modernize their water treatment. They are pitching this to their citizens as a "green" investment in public safety.

-
North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD): They lead their purification process with ozone because it is 3,000 times faster at killing pathogens than chlorine. They promote this "Multi-Barrier" approach as the reason their water is safer than standard municipal supplies.

-
Milwaukee, Wisconsin: A national leader in ozone, they produce educational materials for their citizens "bragging" that ozone is the reason they haven't had a major waterborne illness outbreak in decades.
What should I expect during a colonic session?
Sessions are private and typically last about 60-90 minutes. We are not by the clock, but by the colon. Clients are guided through the process and encouraged to relax while the colon gently releases waste. Many people report feeling lighter, clearer, and more energized afterward.
How often should colonics be done?
Frequency varies based on individual goals. Some clients choose a single session for general support, while others include multiple sessions during a cleanse or retreat. Personalized guidance provided at Truly Terrain based on overall wellness objectives.
INFRARED SAUNA FAQ
Deeply Penetrating
What is infrared sauna?

Why do infrared sauna?
Infrared sauna is commonly used to support detox pathways, muscle relaxation, circulation, and nervous system calming. Many clients also use sauna sessions to unwind, reduce stress, and support overall wellness while living at or visiting high altitude.

HOWEVER, we use the unique Relax Sauna where a typical session is only 20-30 minutes in the sauna because it is far more powerful penetrating 3 inches into the body for a deeper detox. Clients are encouraged to hydrate before and after sessions and to listen to their body’s signals.
Is infrared sauna safe?
Infrared sauna is generally considered safe when used appropriately. At Truly Terrain sessions are designed to be supportive and restorative. Clients with specific health concerns are encouraged to discuss them with their licensed health practitioner before beginning sauna.
